      Valinda,

I purchase the ground beef and chicken at the grocery store. Organ meat you may have to purchase from a butcher.

Thank you for your video on how to make dog food. I have six border collies. Three of which are only one year old. They love my home made food over dry dog food. Where can I buy the nutrients? Would you mind telling me the exact name again of the two types of vitamins you recommend to add? Thank you. Your video and site was very informative!

      Jan,

Try the Supromega fish oil for dogs. This supplement is a great source of omega 3 fatty acids that are known to help inflammation. It also contains natural source vitamin E a powerful antioxidant. Both can help.

Hi. I’m interested in trying your raw food diet for my 3 yorkies. I’m just wondering how much I should feed them a day. I usually feed them once in the morning and once in the evening. I don’t think they would be so happy if I cut it down to one time a day. Also, their weights are 9.5 lbs, 14lbs, and 15.5lbs. Thanks for your help!!!

      Amanda,
It is ok to feed them twice per day. I would feed them about the same volume you normally feed. If you feed 1/2 cup twice a day then use that as a starting point. Make sure you follow the introductory method outline on the dog food recipe page to limit digestive upset.

Hi…I was just wondering if the dog has bad hips, would you use both LicoChops and SupremoMega? And if so, how much in the Raw Recipe? When would you maybe use the CarnoYum? If I choose to use the Fish Oil Gel Caps, how many would I use for 2-three pd Chihuahua, 1-four pd mix,1-seven pd mix and 1-fifteen pd Chihuahua (recieved her extremely overweight) in their Raw Food portion? Thank you so much for your help !!

      Pamala,

They will probably eat between 1/2 cup and 1 cup of food per day. I would use the supromega in the tube because it has natural source vitamin E also. Swap out the Supromega fish oil for the Lickochops and mix in 1 to 2 teaspoons of fish oil per cup of dog food.

      Victoria,

Try the easy cooked dog food recipe or the easy raw dog food recipe. Both are simple and economical and considering you are feeding a small dog should be no problem.
