      Becky,

Yes, grains can aggravate allergies but it is usually the bran and the germ of the grain. White rice has neither so usually does not aggravate allergies. Sometimes a yeast infection dog is mistaken for dog allergies because the symptoms are similar. You may want to try feeding the yeast starvation dog food recipe because this dog food recipe helps dogs with itchy skin.

Hi.. My dog is a red red nose pit bull terrier he has had dry screen like his mother sense the day he was born. We have always bathed him with oatmeal shampoos .. He wasn’t always like this but he now for the last year or so has horrible hotspots on his front leg and now back paw he has sometimes licked his pad right off! We have tried everything you could think of from tea tree oil to antiseptic sprays to wrapping it to cones around his neck he will find a way to get to that leg if its the last thing he does so I’m concerned he looks skinny but vet says he’s fine vet also wants to put him on anti anxiety meds I think he’s crazy but who am I just my dogged mommy who I know doesn’t have anxiety! I was wondering what the best diet would be for him and whatever it is do we have to half and half his food in at first or go straight into a new diet? We were feeding him kibble a and bits we switched do to the first ingredient being corn to purina one thinking that would help.. Though apparently not so we really need your help he’s a beautiful boy who’s sick 🙁 thanks so much diesel and Nicky!!!
